<p>Xerographic photoreceptor consists of a charge-conducting substrate contg. Ni or Cu, an intermediate layer of Al/Al selenide and coating(s) of an inorganic photoconductive material contg. Se, pref. a layer of Se or a Se alloy. The photoreceptor is durable and flexible and is suitable for rapid copying. The Al/Al selenide layer is claimed to improve the adhesion between the Se (alloy) layer and the substrate and to provide good charge-blocking xerographic contact. In an example, the photoreceptor was produced by depositing Al on a Ni (plated) strip, mesh or matrix in vacuo in an oxygen-free atmos., pref. in an inert gas, followed by a Se (alloy) layer from a Se vapour cloud contg. high energy (inert gas) ions.</p> |
