PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image defect such as toner fog, the carrier soar or the like with a simple constitution, and to maintain a stable image quality by measuring a surface potential of a photoreceptor drum, and performing humidity control so as to accommodate the surface potential in the appropriate range corresponding to the detected value. SOLUTION: In this device, when the photoreceptor surface potential detected by the potential measuring unit 9 exceeds the set range, water in the water tank part 11 is heated by a heater part 12. Simultaneously, by driving a fan in a blower part 13, feeding humidified air from a blow-off duct 10a on the photosensitive drum 1, and humidifying the photoreceptor drum 1, the photoreceptor surface potential is lowered. Contrary, when the photoreceptor surface potential detected by the potential measuring unit 9 is lower than the set range, by driving an outside air switching mechanism, taking in the outside air, and feeding this on the photosensitive drum 1 from the blow-off duct 10a, the photosensitive drum 1 is dehumidified and the photoreceptor surface potential is raised. |
