The gel container of an electrophoretic gel analyser unit is formed by the intermediate space between two buffer soln. containers which are clamped together with a spacer. Used for electrophoretic analyses of systems such as DNA and proteins. Simple and inexpensive construction, readily dismantled, and suitable for repetive analyses.
