Metal foil labels and decorations for beverage bottles - have perforations to ease their removal during bottle washing

Beverage bottles, such as returnable wine bottles have external decorations and labels which are made from thin metal foil. The cleaning fluid in the bottle washing machine is normally such that the metal foil used is dissolved. In order to remove the external decorations during the washing, without dissolving the metal foil, it is coated with a protective plastic layer. The metal coil is also provided with perforations all over its area. This allows the cleaning fluid to reach the adhesive between foil and bottle and dissolve it in order to remove the labels.
