<p>The discharge lamp control circuit has first and second electrical supply terminals (12). A first capacitor (3) is connected across the two terminals (1, 2). The first terminal is connected to a first electrode (7) of the lamp (8) through a ferromagnetic non saturable inductor (4). This inductor (4) has intermediate tappings (5, 6). The second terminals (2) is connected to the second electrode of the lamp (9). One of the inductors (4) tappings (5) is connected through a second capacitor (13) and a normally blocked electronic component (14) to the second electrode (9) of the lamp (8). A resistance voltage divider (10, 11) is connected between the lamps electrodes (7, 8). A third capacitor (17) is connected between the mid point (12) of the voltage divider (10, 11) and the second electrode (9) of the lamp (8). A resistance (18) is also connected to the divider mid point and to the second capacitor (13) electronic triac component (14) function the terminals of the third capacitor (17) are connected to the electronic triac components control circuit (21). This control circuit has a firing threshold for a voltage value at the terminals of the third capacitor above that representing the image voltage of the operating voltage between the electrodes of the illuminated lamp.</p> |
