Current generator for remote firing of missile - has bullet fired from firearm striking piezoelectric crystal with transformer

The unit generates current for the remote firing of a missile and comprises an outer sleeve (1) which fits over the muzzle of a firearm. The sleeve contains a piezoelectric crystal (2) in an insulated housing (3), a slug (4) being provided in front and held out of contact by a spring (7). A bullet is first onto the slug and this compresses the spring to sharply contact the crystall. An electric current is generated and passed through a transformer (8) at the rear. The transformed current passes down a wire (12) to fire the missile.
