PURPOSE:To simply and safely perform the laying operation of a sail cloth by a method in which a sail cloth having a rigidity is attached to a channel-shaped sail cloth temporary fitting frame, and the sail cloth is moved by crane, etc., and fixed to the frame. CONSTITUTION:Fitting metals 3 for a sail cloth 2 are connected by temporary bolts 5 to a channel-shaped sail cloth temporary fitting frame 4, and the frame 4 is then lifted up by crane, etc., and contacted with the plate 1b of a frame 1. The fitting bolts of the frame 1 are thrust through the holes 6 and 7 of the frame 4 and clamed with nuts to give a tension force to the sail cloth 2. Under the condition, the fitting metals 3 of the saild cloth 2 are fixed to the plate 1b of the frame 1 by bolts. Afterwards, the frame 4 is removed out of the frame 1 and the fitting metals 3, and thereby the sail cloth 2 can be attached through the fitting metals 3 to the frame 1.
