PURPOSE:To strengthen the performance of environmental resistance by a method wherein the main body of a rectifier is arranged in the recess of a cooling fin and completely coated with a flexible heat-resisting resin. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor chip 5 performing the action of rectification is fixed by adhesion to the bottom of an end-closed cylindrical metallic material (disk) 3 via solder layer 8. A lead 6 is connected by mounting to the other surface of the chip 5 via solder layer 8, and a hermetic sealing region 4 is cast in the disk 3 and hardened. The retifier body R is installed to the recess 1a of the cooling fin 1 via solder layer 2, which section is filled with silicone rubber 7, a flexible heat-resisting resin; thus, the disk 3 and the hermetic sealing resin 4 are completely covered. Even when salt water or mud water attaches, each resin is difficult to strip because of a long path of its stripping, excellent performance of environmental resistance is exhibited. |
