The "device for using acceleration and deceleration for the purposes of signalling, monitoring, measurement or control especially for a vehicle" more particularly belongs to the technical field of transport by vehicle. This device is generally formed from several components whose basic component most often consists of a small quantity of mercury moving in a tube when the tube is subjected to movement, and thus coming into contact with various metal elements in order to establish electrical connections. This base component has dimensions and a shape which vary greatly according to the complexity of the work required of it and for which it is combined with other complementary components in order to constitute the overall device, of which here are a few examples: - combined with series of red and green lights it is a precise indicator of the acceleration and deceleration inside and outside of road vehicles; - combined with an additional flashing light, to which it supplies electrical current when the vehicle decelerates, it characterises the change in direction, and differentiates it from changing lane for overtaking. - placed on an underground train, a tram, a trolleybus it controls the constant acceleration or deceleration selected on the transport vehicle. Furthermore, this basic component measures and monitors stresses, vibrations and oscillations as soon as it is combined with suitable barometric or electronic equipment. It operates according to several parameters which give it precision, sensitivity and variable amplitudes.
