PURPOSE:To obtain a packed column whose high pressure packing effect is kept, by packing the packed column with a packing agent slurry from both ends thereof under pressure and keeping pressure at the time of packing as it is. CONSTITUTION:After a slurry A of a predetermined amount of a packing agent 1 is injected in a packed column 10, and upper and lower packing columns 20, 30 as shown by Fig. (b), an upper end piston shaped cap 22 is placed on the upper end of the column 20, and upper and lower jacks 24, 34 are operated to protrude rods and caps 22, 32 are moved downwardly and upwardly to be inserted in the columns 20, 30 and further allowed to simultaneously advance into the column under a constant pressure gradually and forcibly. After the finish of compaction, the columns 20, 30 are detached in such a state that the caps 24, 34 are pushed as shown by Fig. (d) and the caps 22, 32 are fixed by piston-shaped cap fixing flanges 26, 36. At last, the jacks 24, 34 are detached as shown by Fig. (e) and separated from the columns 20, 30 to make it possible to obtain the column 10 packed with the packing agent 1. |
