PURPOSE:To perform long-time operation, by fitting a transparent inflatable balloon to the leading end of a catheter and pressing a surface other than a tube fitting part to a region to be observed by the injection of an expanding material and forming a blood flow space between a tube and the inflatable balloon. CONSTITUTION:The transparent inflatable balloon 2 fitted to the leading end of a catheter 1 is constituted of a plastic film relatively low in extensibility while an annular tube 4 is made of a rubbery substance having high extensibility and inflated by an expanding material to be pressed to the inner wall of a blood vessel on a non-visual field side not only to closely bring the visual field surface 3 of the inflatable balloon 2 into contact with the inner wall of a blood vessel but also to form a space 7 becoming a blood flow passage between the inflatable balloon 2 and the tube 4. A transparent protective cylinder 10 may be constituted at the leading end of the catheter in order to enhance the insertion safety of a fiber bundle 5. In this case, an expansible material communication port 11 is provided. By this method, the blood between the region to be observed and the catheter is excluded to make endoscopic observation certain and the stop of blood during operation is prevented and, therefore, observation and treatment can be performed without receiving the restriction of a time. |
