PURPOSE:To reduce the time required for the peeling of a anti-halation layer by using propylene glycol monomethyl ether or a mixed solvent of acetone or methanol and said ether as an antihalation layer forming solvent. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material is formed from at least one layer of silver halide emulsion layers mounted on the one side of a photographic supporting body, and a backing layer which is soluble to an alkaline aqueous solution and is composed of a swellable binder and is mounted on the another side of the photographic supporting body, using the mixed solvent composed of acetone or methanol and propylene glycol monomethylether. Thus, the anti- halation layer which strongly sticks to the supporting body and is capable of clearly removing said layer in a development processing step for a short period, is obtd. |
