PURPOSE:To eliminate the damage of a separator to prevent the internal short circuit of a battery by sticking a nonwoven fabric on the surface of either one of positive and negative electrodes or each of both electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Nonwoven fabrics 1a, 1b are sticked on the surfaces of a positive electrode 2 and a negative electrode 4, or the nonwoven fabric 1a or 1b is sticked on the surface of the electrode 2 or the electrode 4. As the material of the nonwoven fabric, a material which does not react with an electrolyte and has stable potential, for example, a polymer such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and polyester, or metal such as stainless steel, or carbon fiber is used. The thickness of the nonwoven fabric is 2-50mum before it is sticked to a sheet electrode, and its thickness is reduced to 1/2-1/10 after it was sticked to the electrode. |
