PURPOSE:To enable printing having high quality even to recording paper having low smoothness by flying molten ink by the boiling of a liquid and transferring the molten ink onto recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A liquid applied by a liquid spreading roller 3 enters into the micropores 4c of an ink carrier 4a, and a thermal recording head 1 is moved to a shape that the mioropores 4c are clogged. When a heating element 2 is heat-generated in response to a recording signal under the state, hot-melt ink 4b is melted while the liquid in the micropores 4c is boiled. Accordingly, one ends of the micropores 4c are clogged by the thermal recording head 1, thus flying molten hot melt ink 4b in the direction of recording paper 7 by the boiling liquid.
