PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming apparatus for simply processing printing of format data. SOLUTION: Print data and control command to be transmitted from a host system 106 are received by a host I/F 105, and received print data and control command are stored in a data buffer area of a RAM 104. The stored data and command are interpreted based on a predetermined rule by a CPU 101. Predetermined continued two or more format data previously registered with an HDD unit 110 are read, the received print data are added to arbitrary position of the read two or more format data, and image data based on predetermined interpretation are formed at the two or more format data. The formed image data are outputted as print image data to a printer engine 113, and printed. |
