A tying-round machine consists of - a package table (2), - a tying-round device (8) with gripper, which rotates the package and which lays a loop around the package, - a tensioning device (5) which tensions the loop around the package, - a closing device which adhesively bonds or welds overlapping regions of the loop to one another, with an abutment plate (10) and with a closing head (9) displaceable relative to the abutment plate, - a first clamp (11) which retains the initial region of the loop, - a second clamp (12) which retains the end region of the loop, and - a cutting device (16, 17) for cutting off the loop. To increase the working speed and simplify the control, the first clamp (11) is arranged level with the abutment plate (10). Located underneath this clamp (11) is a feeder (13) which brings the start (14) of the loop under the abutment plate (10) and which can be moved back into its initial position before the closing head (9) is raised. The inflow (18) for the tying-round means (4) is arranged higher than the gripper top part (7), and the gripper bottom part (7') can be briefly moved out of the tying-round plane after the closing of the clamp (11), so that the new start of the loop comes between the parts of the gripper. <IMAGE> |
