PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a PDP driving circuit by integrating a scanning driver and a deleting driver of a driving circuit of an AC discharge type plasma display panel(PDP). SOLUTION: In a control method for a driving circuit driving a PDP 15, signals SBL, SDA, SCL, SST for writing-discharge, signals EBL, EDA, ECL, EST for holding-discharge-deletion are switched with a writing-discharge period and a holding-discharge period by a voltage selector 24, and inputted to a scanning driver 19. The scanning driver 19 generates a scanning pulse for writing- discharge and a holding-discharge-stop pulse switching for each period, and gives it to a scanning electrode of the PDP 15 through a mixer 25. The holding- discharge-stop pulse is a pulse given to each scanning electrode to eliminate phenomenon in which brightness is varied by variation of the number of display cells connected to one scanning electrode, a circuit scale of the PDP driving circuit is reduced by generating this holding-discharge-stop pulse with the scanning driver 19. |
