PURPOSE: To satisfactorily control electrostatic charge and to extremely reduce fog by using polyester resin as the base of a bonding resin and incorporating a prescribed amt. of a specified iron compd. into the bonding resin. CONSTITUTION: This toner contains a bonding resin based on polyester resin and contg. an iron compd. represented by the formula by 0.1 to <1.0 pt.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the bonding resin. This toner is used in a developing device with a developing roll and a blade imparting electric charges by triboelectric charge while regulating the thickness of a toner layer formed on the roll in a uniform state. In the formula, each of R<1> and R<2> is H, 1-18C alkyl, etc., each of n1 and n2 is an integer of 1-3, each of X<1> and X<2> is H, 1-18C alkyl, etc., each of m1 and m2 is an integer of 1-3 and A is H<+> , Na<+> , etc. Satisfactory triboelectric chargeability with the blade is exhibited, fog is reduced and the occurrence of image defects can almost be prevented even by printing repeated many times. |
