PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a contact from being stained by mounting an opening and closing member of a spring-pressing type which automatically restores to a position for covering an electrical connection part when a recording head is detached from a carriage and forcibly moved to a position for opening the electrical connection part when the head is attached to the carriage. CONSTITUTION:A recording head 6 detachably loaded on a carriage 5 in an electrical connection state is provided with an opening and closing member 15 of a spring-pressing type which automatically restores to a position for covering an electrical connection part 13 by a spring 16 when the recording head 6 is detached from the carriage 5 by being extracted upwards and forcibly moved to a position for opening the electrical connection part 13 when the head is attached to the carriage 5 by being pressed down from above. In this manner, in the recording head 6 of a disposable type detachable from the carriage 5, the contact 13 is automatically covered with the opening and closing member 15 when the recording head is detached. Thus, the surface of the contact can be prevented from the stain caused by the invasion of dust, the contact with fingers, or the like. |
