METHOD FOR DETERMINING VIABLE CELL COUNT

A method for conveniently and quickly determining the viable count and/or survival ratio of cells. This method comprises measuring the fluorescence intensity evolved by a test sample subjected to a treatment with a nucleic acid fluorescent die capable of exclusively staining dead cells and the fluorescence intensity evolved by the test sample subjected to the treatment with the above-mentioned die and another treatment of damaging cell membrane and then comparing these intensities.
