摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a high pressure pump by use of a small-sized and low- priced solenoid valve by holding a closing body in a valve open position by a valve rod of a solenoid valve when an electric current is applied to a magnet, and causing the high pressure force-feed start of the high pressure pump by interception of the magnet of the solenoid valve. SOLUTION: A suction pipe 8 is guided to a working chamber 5, a solenoid valve 9 is inserted in the suction pipe 8, and a valve closing body 10 formed as a ball of the solenoid valve 9 can be lifted from a valve seat of the valve closing body 10 only by the inlet pressure of the suction pipe 8 against the force of a valve spring 11. The valve closing body 10, the valve spring 11 and the valve seat 12 form a check valve. The valve closing body 10 reaches the valve seat 12 according to the force action of the valve spring 11 and the force of fuel jet so that the solenoid valve 9 is closed. In the working chamber 5 of the high pressure pump 1, pressure formation is started and diesel fuel is forcefed to a high pressure accumulator 2 through the opened check valve 7 and the high pressure pipe 6. Thus, the high pressure pump can be operated by a small-sized and inexpensive valve.
