PURPOSE:To elongate a life of a bearing by reducing an axial direction load of deep-grooved ball bearings or the like. CONSTITUTION:A shaft 3 is supported by means of deep-grooved ball bearings 1, 2. A circular thrust disc 4 is arranged between the deep-grooved ball bearings 1 and 2 integrally with the shaft 3. Electromagnets 4a, 4b are oppositely arranged on the surface of the thrust disc 4. A positional sensor, not shown, is provided for detecting an axial position S of the shaft 3. The electromagnets 4a, 4b are excited based on the detected value S from the positional sensor. The magnetic force of the electromagnets is applied to the thrust disc 4 for axially supporting the shaft 3. A large part of an axial load applied to the shaft 3 is held by the supporting point. |
