PURPOSE:To obtain a zinc-containing soft ferrite, having no deterioration in magnetic characteristics, and a calcination placing plate to be used thereon by a method wherein alumina and zinc oxide are uniformly mixed and calcined, and the compositional ratio of the zinc oxide in the placing plate is set at 10 to 52%. CONSTITUTION:When a soft ferrite molded body having zinc as a constituent component is calcined, a placing plate, which is formed by almost uniformly mixing the calcinating almina and zinc oxide in the composition ratio of 10 to 52mol% zinc oxide, is used. By conducting a calcinating operation using the placing plate consisting of ZnAl2O4 when an Mn-Zn ferrite is manufactured, the movement of Zn ions between the ferrite molded body and the placing plate in the course of sintering can be suppressed. As a result, the residual stress and the composition variation of the ferrite calcined body can be suppressed, and the problem of the deterioration of magnetic characteristics can be resolved completely. |
