PURPOSE:To provide an optical recording medium capable of high density recording and erasing of recorded information only by irradiation with light without requiring heat treatment, and the manufacturing method of the optical recording medium capable of preparing fine vehicles superior in the uniformity of its grain diameter and the recording method of the optical recording medium capable of efficiently forming its molecular association product. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium comprises the fine spherical vehicle particles covered with thin films made of a lipid, such as a natural lipid of phosphatidyl choline, represented by formula I, and containing an organic dye, such as a spiropyrane compound (SPI 822) represented by formula II. |
