PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a cartridge housing a photographic film by using a specific polyethylene(PE) arom. dicarboxylate based polyester for a base of a the photographic film housing in the cartridge of specific value or below in the outside diameter of its drum body. SOLUTION: This cartridge consists of a spool for winding the photographic film housed in the cylindrical body 21 and a pair of caps 22 which are detained to both side ends of the drum body 21 and support hubs 11 concentric with a winding shaft at both ends of this spool. The outside diameter of the drum body 21 is <=21 mm. The PE arom. dicarboxylate based polyester which has a thickness 50 to 105μm and a glass transition temp. 50 to 200 deg.C and is subjected to a heat treatment for 0.5 to 1500 hours at a temp. above 40 deg.C and below the glass transition temp. is used for the base of the photographic film 4 housed in the cartridge 20. The size of the cartridge in its axial direction may be made smaller by as much as the size saved by no projection of the hubs according to such constitution.
