<p>PURPOSE:To achieve shortening of processing time by a method wherein a home position of a distributing means is established near a distributing bin of a first stage in a sheet distributing order, and a home position of a stapler is established outside an area where the distributing bins are arranged. CONSTITUTION:A distributing means 13 of which frequency in use is high starts distributing operation directly from a home position of a distributing bin 2 of an initial stage in a sheet distributing order. Besides, since a stapler unit 30 comes off from the distributing bin 2 of a final stage in the sheet distributing order and exists outside an area where the distributing bins are arranged, it does not interfere sheet distributing operation of the distributing means 13. Therefore, a transfer distance and time of the distributing means 13 of which frequency in use is high are minimized, and a highly effective sorter of which processing time is shortened can be realized. Further, since the stapler 55 is so arranged as to lift and lower in the same area as a lifting and lowering area of the distributing means 13, the sorter can be miniaturized. Further, since the sheet is stapled by transferring only a guide component 3 provided movably to the distributing bin 2 to a position capable of being stapled together with the sheet, driving force can be reduced.</p> |
