The actuator has restoring springs (1) with a progressive characteristic so that the magnetic force of the electromagnetic carrying a current, and hence capturing the armature, is never lower than the force of the restoring spring opposing the attraction. Each restoring spring is made of two force storage elements (2,3) acting as spring elements and whose interaction produces the spring characteristic variation.
