PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device making the excellent image possible to be formed by preventing deterioration of the image as a result of residual potential on the image carrier. SOLUTION: This image forming device is allowed to prevent the residual potential on the electrostatic latent image formed in advance from becoming large by raising a light quantity of the pre-exposure by raising the input voltage of the pre-exposure lamp 116 by 1 V, when the potential difference of the residual potential exceeds 5 V, prior to the preliminary image formation, and repeatedly performing the potential differential detection control and the pre- exposure light quantity variation control in this order after returning to the setting control thereafter. |
