PURPOSE:To increase the capacitance of discharge by a method wherein a positive pole is formed of a molded material such as active charcoal powder and the like, a negative pole is formed of a carbonated substance of an aromatic condensation high molecular compound, and an electrolyte is formed by dissolving special quaternary onium salt into an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:A positive pole 1 consists of the molded material of activated charcoal powder or activated charcoal fiber, a negative pole consists of the carbonated material of an aromatic condensation high molecular compound, and an electrolyte is formed by dissolving quaternary onium salt, which is indicated by the formula separately mentioned, into an organic solvent. In the formula I of the electrolyte, the letters in the brackets indicate tetraalkylonium or tetraallylonium. As a result, the capacitance of discharge is increased, the backup for a long period can be made possible, and the lowering of charge and discharge efficiency, due to the internal short-circuit of a battery and the falling off of an active substance, can be prevented. |
