PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deliver a call to a resident while avoiding useless calling by calling only places where the resident is present in the case of the calling by an intercom and of the arrival of an incoming call. SOLUTION: In a home telephone system, a visitor-use intercom 2 is provided to an entrance, and each room is provided with a telephone set 1 and a master unit 4 controls the telephone sets, to which the doorphone and an external line are connected. A human body sensor 6 is connected to each telephone set 1, acoustic units 5 with a human body sensor are placed in rooms and corridors without the provision of the telephone set 1 and the master unit 4 controls each telephone set 1 to which the human body sensor 6 is connected and the acoustic units 5 with a human body sensor. When a call signal from an external line or the intercom 2 is given to the telephone sets 1 and acoustic units 5 with 2 human body sensor via the master unit 4, only the telephone sets 1 whose human body sensor 6 senses a human body and the acoustic units 5 with human body sensor sensing a human body ring the call tone from the intercom 2.
