Photo-conducting drum arrangement (12) and processing unit (16, 18, 20, 24), forming part of an electrographic printer (10), use mechanical reference points for their positioning within the printer frame or housing. Two locating pins (P1, P3) are using for positioning and supporting the drum arrangement (DA1) in the printer frame and also serve for supporting the processing unit. An Independent claim is made for a method for mounting a processing unit in relation to the surface of an image plotting drum (12) mounted in the frame of a printer.
