An arrangement in connection with a drum which is intended for treating material, the drum comprising a cylindrical piece (1) that is arranged to rotate about its axis in its operating position, whereby the axis of the drum is substantially horizontal, and which piece comprises material lifting means (7) arranged inside said piece.
