PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in high temperature storage characteristics and load characteristics. SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery equipped with a positive electrode having a positive electrode mixture layer composed of manganese containing oxide and nickel containing oxide as the main body, with a negative electrode comprised by containing at least one kind among lithium metal, lithium alloy or a material capable of doping/de-doping lithium, and with the nonaqueous electrolyte, Li2CO3 is contained in the positive electrode mixture layer, and the content of the Li2CO3 is in the range larger than 0 wt.% and not more than 5 wt.% in the positive electrode mixture layer. |
