PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reactor which is excellently lowered in iron loss, ohmic loss (copper loss), and noise. SOLUTION: This reactor is provided with a wound core which is formed by winding a belt-like material in a circular or elliptic periphery so that the cross section of the laminated belt-like material may become a circular shape, elliptic shape, or polygonal shape having six or more corners (preferably, such a polygonal shape that most of the visible outlines of the shape become nonparallel to the winding center line in the cross section of the laminated belt-like material) and both ends of the wound core may become arcuate or elliptic-periphery, with the sections between the circular- or elliptic-periphery becoming a nearly straight line (preferably, such circular- or elliptic-periphery that most of the visible outlines of the shapes become nonparallel to the winding center line in the cross section) or polygonal shapes having four or more circular-arcuate or elliptic-arcuate corners (preferably, such polygonal shapes that most of the visible outlines of the shapes become nonparallel to the winding center line in the cross section) and a coil wound almost all around the wound core. |
