PURPOSE:To increase corrosion resistance and machinability by using a specific, high purity metallic chromium. CONSTITUTION:As a corrosion resistant material used in a container (electrolytic bath) in which cathode and anode active materials in a molten carbonate fuel cell is accommodated, high purity metallic chromium having a relative density of 95% or more and a purity of 99.9% or more is used. Since this material has good malleability and ductility and excellent machinability, it is machined in complicated shape and structure for various applications. In addition, it shows sufficient corrosion resistance against molten carbonate with which a very small amount of impurity such as salt is mixed. |
