The invention relates to a hands-free control device for seats and similar items which is used to regulate the height of same. The inventive device comprises a commercial cylinder (17) with concentric outlets for a shaft (25) and a valve shaft (16). A system comprising a housing, a spring and a ring allows the user to activate a plate with his/her feet, without requiring the use of the hands.
