PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slag sorter capable of accurately and efficiently sorting a large metal, a wire having a predetermined length or more, or the like. SOLUTION: Slag obtained by melting waste to cool the same is introduced into a rotator 2 through an introducing port 8. The peripheral wall in the side of the introducing port 8 of the rotator 2 is formed as a cylindrical part 12 having no meshes and the peripheral wall from the cylindrical part 12 to a discharge port 9 is set to a mesh part 13 having a large number of meshes 14a and 14b having a predetermined size, and a metal, or the like, larger than the mesh size of the mesh part 13 is moved through the cylindrical part 12 and further moved on meshes without being passed through the meshes of the next mesh part 13 to be discharged from the discharge port 9. Wires, or the like, are moved in a state laid on the peripheral wall in the cylindrical part 12 and wires, or the like, longer than the meshes of the mesh part 13 are moved on meshes in the next mesh part 13 without being passed through the meshes in the laid state to be discharged from the discharge port 9 while slag smaller than the mesh size of the mesh part 13 is moved through the cylindrical part 12 to be passed through the meshes of the mesh part 13 to be recovered.
