HEAT RESISTANT FILTER ELEMENT USED FOR DUST COLLECTOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a filter element of a sintered compact which is free of various strength distributions in terms of strength and does not give rise to partial thermal shrinkage. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin which consists essentially of polysuslfone and has a melt flow index within a range from 5 to 9 [g/10 minute] is pulverized and the resultant powder is packed into metal molds and is sintered at a temperature range higher than the glass transition point of the resin and not exceeding 40 deg.C therefrom, by which an open cellular perforated molding is formed. A coating layer of fluororesin particles is applied on the surface of this molding.
