PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency operation control device and a control method of an elevator capable of determining the operational direction of the elevator and reducing the rescue operation time of the elevator using the output signal of a speed detector connected to a shaft of an induction motor of the elevator in an emergency. SOLUTION: Control is made by performing the step (S3) to judge whether or not an emergency is generated in a door zone, steps (S5-S9) to determine the operational direction of an elevator by releasing a brake and comparing each signal outputted from a speed detector in a case where the door zone is not involved as a result of judgment, a stage (S12) to judge whether the counting time (TBR) counted from the time when the brake is released is not less than the set time (TBS), and steps (S13, S14) to judge whether the angular velocity (ωr ) of an induction motor is the set angular velocity (ωst ) when the counting time (TBR) is not less than the set time (TBS). |
