A broadcasting receiving method of a terminal is provided to reduce an error generated when receiving the broadcasting receiving initial information and minimize the receiving time of the corresponding channel. A tuner(110) receives the signal of the corresponding channel from an antenna by a channel selection command of a user and outputs a TS(Transport Stream). A parsing module(120) receives the TS and parses the program information by de-multiplexing. An MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) decoder(150) decodes the video and audio signals of the program construction information obtained through the parsing module. A user interface(100) receives the channel selection command of the user. A microprocessor(130) controls the parsing module so that the corresponding channel is tuned. A CA(Conditional Access) module performs an authentication procedure when the tuned channel is a CA channel.
