The helmet has a helmet shell and a visor (16) fixed to the shell with a fixing unit (14) such that it is swivel-mounted between a folded down operational position and an opened unfold non-operational position. The helmet has two hood elements (18) manufactured from a projectile-restraining material, where former is fixed at the shell and covers the shell exterior completely, and later is fixed at the visor edge such that it extends from the visor edge over a shell part. Both the element covers the fixing unit of the visor in operational and non-operational position of the visor.
