A vacuum cleaner is provided to separate only a dust collecting container from a vacuum cleaner main body when discharging foreign substance collected in the dust collecting container by installing a first cyclone in a dust collecting container and a second cyclone in a vacuum cleaner main body to prevent re-contamination of the interior. A vacuum cleaner includes a suction nozzle, a vacuum cleaner main body, a drive apparatus, and dust collecting devices. The suction nozzle sucks the external air containing dusts. A main body suction port is installed at a lower end of a front surface of the vacuum cleaner main body to be in communication with the suction nozzle. The drive apparatus includes a fan-motor assembly for sucking the external air to generate an air suction force. The dust collecting devices include the dust collecting units. The dust collecting unit includes a first cyclone(310), and a dust collecting container(330). The first cyclone separates foreign substances contained in an air. The dust collecting container contains a first dust storage part for storing foreign substances separated from the first cyclone and is detachably coupled to the first cyclone.
