Filter or absorption element with enclosed absorption particles and a method for its manufacture

A filter element comprises a filter medium (1) and a sealing compound for sealing lateral open edges during manufacture. The filter medium has at least two filter web layers (2,3) and an adsorptive layer containing adsorptive particles (4). The adsorptive layer is substantially enclosed by at least two filter web layers excluding lateral open edges. An independent claim is included for manufacture of filter element.
