PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester film for paperless thermosensitive stencil printing base paper excellent in resolution (gradation), printing quality, density, curling resistance, printing durability (printing resistance) during printing. SOLUTION: The polyester film for paperless thermosensitive stencil printing base paper is a biaxially stretched film with thickness of 3 to 15μm comprising polyester containing 20 to 70% in weight of polybutylene terephthalate and is characterized by that the melting point is 130 to 240°C, and the maximum heating shrinking stress of the film in longitudinal and lateral directions over the range of 30 to 180°C is 50 to 700 g/mm<SP>2</SP>in average.
