摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet image forming device which accurately detects the viscosity of ink. SOLUTION: The image forming device detects the viscosity of ink by a viscosity detector 90 by sucking the ink in a subtank 80 into the viscosity detector 90. The result of the viscosity detection is compared with a viscosity value Ns previously set as a stability limit values of printing. If N is less than Ns, the ink in the subtank 80 is not diluted by a diluent. In that case, a dilution pump 95 is driven so as to ensure that the diluent in a diluent tank 92 flows in the direction of an arrow E and the ink flowing into a diluent channel 93 in viscosity detection is returned to the subtank 80. If N is equal to or greater than Ns, the ink is diluted by injecting the diluent in the diluent tank 92 into the ink in the subtank 80.
