An engine cooling system having a radiator 31, a pump 32, a bypass 18 and a thermostat 38 is supplemented by an auxiliary cooling circuit for supercharger intercoolers 51, 52. The auxiliary circuit also has its own pump 53 and radiator 54. The two circuits are connected by a connector 10 in which a through passage 11 connects into the radiator top hose 34. A branch passage 14 is connected to the through passage 11, and has its free end connected to the auxiliary cooling circuit in the flow to the flow to the auxiliary radiator 54, while two side passages 15, 16 connect to a mid section of the branch passage for flow from the intercoolers 51, 52. The connector allows the two circuits to be filled together via a common filler, but ensures that there is little or no flow between them in normal use so that each circuit can operate at its own optimum temperature. |
