The device i.e. plug connector (106), has a contact pin (101) provided in a holder (100) for producing an electrical connection to a line guiding layer (104) in a circuit carrier, when the contact pin contacts a contact pin in a mating connector (109) in an electrically conductive manner. A strip conductor structure (103) is embossed in the holder by the technique of laser-direct-structuring for allowing the conduction of electrical signal which transfers via the contact pin. The plug connector is partially manufactured from a plastic material by injection molding.
