The vehicle has an electrical machine (11) arranged in a drive chain section between an internal combustion engine (2) and a transmission (9). A clutch (6) e.g. positive claw clutch, is arranged between the internal combustion engine and a rotor of the electrical machine. The internal combustion engine is connected to the electrical machine by closing the clutch and connected to the transmission, which is coupled with the electrical machine. The internal combustion engine is uncoupled by opening the clutch. A control device monitors speed differential arising at the clutch.
