The connecting rod system has a spring retainer (4), a damper retainer (6), a wheel carrier (5) and a connecting rod bearing (1a), which is provided for vehicle sided connection of connecting rod arms (2, 3). Each component has a defined number of identity elements. The components are aligned on top of each other such that different connecting rod configurations are manufactured from the selected or all components by combination of the identity elements.
