PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convenience in a humidifier having a sterilization function.SOLUTION: A humidifier includes: a humidification section for generating humidification air by vaporizing stored water; a fan 60 for generating, in an air passage 5, an air flow for leading out the humidification air to outside; a sterilization water generation section 10 for generating sterilization water by generating a bactericidal factor in the stored water; an ultrasonic wave application section 72 for atomizing the sterilization water by irradiating the sterilization water with ultrasonic waves to generate mist for sterilization; an auxiliary passage 6 for leading out the mist for sterilization to outside; and an operation switching mechanism 9 for switching between a first operation mode of introducing the mist for sterilization to the air passage 5 by communicating the air passage 5 with the auxiliary passage 6 and a second operation mode of shutting off between the air passage 5 and the auxiliary passage 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
